Lactation Consultation and Nest Prep Classes FAQs

While many mothers are able to breastfeed successfully without assistance, some may require the support of a lactation consultant. If you are experiencing pain, difficulty latching, or other breastfeeding challenges, it may be helpful to schedule a consultation with The Nourishing Nest LLC.

An IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. IBCLC's are trained professional who specializes in helping mothers breastfeed their babies. They provide education, support, and guidance to help mothers overcome any breastfeeding challenges they may face.

Even if you choose not to breastfeed, consulting an IBCLC can provide guidance on infant care, feeding options, and establishing a nurturing bond with your baby.

The Nest Prep classes prepare you for a confident caregiving experience, covering breastfeeding, infant care and safety, and bonding techniques. They are designed to be personalized and unique to your parenting situation, wehter that is as a new parent who has never held a baby to having multiple children and trying to juggle it all. I am here to answer questions, provide clairfication, and keep social media from convinvcing you you are doing 

The cost of a consultation varies depending on the provider and your insurance coverage. At The Nourishing Nest LLC, I currently only accept self-pay clients. However, I am actively working to get in network with insurance companies. In order to remain as transparent as possible, I have specific pricing  listed under Payment & Insurance.

You tell me! I am available for in-home or in-office consultations, or virtual visits. It is your preference and where you feel most comfortable.
